Purchase Options Cancellation Policy

This Purchase Options Cancellation Policy explains how to cancel, modify, or pause recurring orders ("Subscriptions"), pre-orders, and other purchase options offered on www.capsucup.com by Sterlingoods LLC ("Sterlingoods," "Capsucup," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service.

If you only place one-time orders, this policy does not apply to you — see our Returns and Refunds Policy instead.

1. Types of Purchase Options We Offer

We may offer the following purchase options at checkout:

  • One-time purchase — a single charge for a single shipment. No recurring billing.
  • Subscribe & Save (recurring subscription) — recurring shipments and recurring charges at the frequency you choose (e.g., every 30, 45, 60, or 90 days), at a discounted subscription price.
  • Pre-order — payment is taken when the order is placed; the product ships when it becomes available.
  • Backorder — payment is taken when the order is placed; the product ships when restocked.

Each option is clearly identified at checkout. If you select a Subscribe & Save option, you are enrolling in a recurring billing program. You will see a clear summary of: (a) the subscription price, (b) the billing frequency, (c) the next billing date, and (d) a notice that the subscription will automatically renew at the stated frequency until you cancel.

2. Your Right to Cancel — Click to Cancel

You may cancel any Subscription at any time, for any reason, with no cancellation fee. Cancellation is as easy as signing up. You do not need to call us, justify your decision, or speak with anyone.

How to cancel

You may cancel using any of the following methods, all of which are equally effective:

  1. Self-service through your customer account (recommended for fastest results):
    • Sign in at www.capsucup.com/account
    • Go to Manage Subscriptions
    • Click Cancel Subscription next to the subscription you want to end
    • Confirm the cancellation
  2. Email: send a cancellation request to hello@sterlingoods.com or help@sterlingoods.com with the subject "Cancel Subscription" and your order number. We will confirm the cancellation within one business day.
  3. WhatsApp Business / Phone: message or call +1 (305) 570-5172 during business hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM ET).

You will receive an email confirmation of your cancellation. If you do not receive a confirmation within 2 business days, please contact us — we will treat your original request as the cancellation date.

3. When Cancellation Takes Effect

Cancellation takes effect as soon as we receive your request:

  • If you cancel before your next scheduled billing date, no further charges will be processed. Your subscription ends immediately and no further shipments will be sent.
  • If you cancel after a recurring charge has been processed but before the order has shipped, we will cancel the pending shipment and refund the charge in full.
  • If you cancel after the order has already shipped, the cancellation applies to all future recurring charges. The most recent shipment is subject to our standard Returns and Refunds Policy.

4. Pausing, Skipping, or Modifying a Subscription

In addition to cancellation, you may at any time:

  • Pause a subscription for a specified period
  • Skip the next shipment (and resume after)
  • Change the frequency (e.g., from every 30 days to every 60 days)
  • Swap the product for a different SKU within the same subscription program
  • Update the shipping address for future shipments
  • Update the payment method for future charges

All of these changes can be made in your customer account at www.capsucup.com/account → Manage Subscriptions, or by emailing hello@sterlingoods.com / help@sterlingoods.com.

5. Renewal Notices

Before each recurring charge, we will send you an email reminder to the address on file, including:

  • The product(s) being shipped
  • The amount that will be charged
  • The date the charge will be processed
  • A direct link to manage or cancel your subscription

These reminders are typically sent 3–5 days before the next billing date. If you ever stop receiving renewal notices, please contact us — we are required by California and New York law to provide them.

6. Price Changes

If we change the price of a Subscription, we will notify you by email at least 30 days in advance of the new price taking effect. You may cancel before the new price takes effect with no additional charge.

7. Pre-Orders and Backorders

For pre-order and backorder items:

  • Payment is collected at the time of order placement.
  • You may cancel a pre-order or backorder at any time before the item ships for a full refund.
  • To cancel, email hello@sterlingoods.com or help@sterlingoods.com with your order number.
  • If estimated shipping dates change materially (more than 30 days from the original estimate), we will notify you by email and you may cancel for a full refund.

8. Refunds for Cancelled Recurring Orders

Situation Refund
Cancellation before next charge No refund needed — no charge will be made
Cancellation after charge, before shipment Full refund to original payment method within 3–5 business days
Cancellation after shipment Per our Returns and Refunds Policy — unopened products may be returned for refund within 30 days of delivery
Defective or wrong product in a recurring shipment Full refund or free replacement (see Returns and Refunds Policy §4)

9. Failed Payments

If a recurring charge fails (expired card, insufficient funds, etc.), we will:

  1. Notify you by email
  2. Retry the charge up to 3 times over 7 days
  3. If still unsuccessful, pause your subscription automatically

We will not ship product on a failed-payment subscription. You can update your payment method at any time at www.capsucup.com/account → Payment Methods.

10. Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under applicable U.S. federal or state law, including:

  • California Automatic Renewal Law (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 17600 et seq.)
  • New York Automatic Renewal Law (N.Y. Gen. Bus. Law § 527-a)
  • Federal Trade Commission Negative Option Rule (16 CFR Part 425) — including the "Click-to-Cancel" requirement
  • Restore Online Shoppers' Confidence Act (ROSCA) (15 U.S.C. § 8401 et seq.)
  • Any other applicable state auto-renewal law (Colorado, Vermont, Illinois, Oregon, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and others)

If you believe we have not honored your cancellation request, you may also contact the attorney general of your state of residence or the Federal Trade Commission at https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/.

11. Marketplace and Third-Party Subscription Purchases

If you subscribed to our products through a third-party marketplace (Amazon Subscribe & Save, Walmart Subscriptions, etc.), cancellation and modification of those subscriptions is handled through that marketplace, not through us. Please log in to your account on the marketplace where you subscribed.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Purchase Options Cancellation Policy from time to time. For material changes affecting active Subscribers, we will provide at least 30 days' notice by email before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
