About this coffee
Caffè come una volta (coffee the way it used to be). In Italy the morning starts at the bar: a quick word with the barista, the hiss of the machine and a short, dark espresso crowned with thick crema. For generations that ritual has lived at home too, thanks to the cialda: a single dose of ground coffee pressed between two sheets of paper. No capsule, no grinder, no mess.
- Gran Bar, rich and full-bodied (intensity 12): a decisive dark roast of Arabica and Robusta from Africa and Asia, with hints of toasted bread and biscuit. Bold enough for a cappuccino, smooth enough to sip as a ristretto.
- Fits every E.S.E. 44mm machine: standard Easy Serving Espresso paper pods for any ESE-compatible espresso machine or pod basket. Not for capsule machines or K-Cup® brewers.
- Paper pod, certified compostable filter: bio-based paper filter (80% plant-derived), certified compostable by TÜV. No plastic or aluminum capsule to clean out.
- Pre-dosed, no grinding, no tamping: 7 g of coffee per pod, individually sealed. Brew about 25 seconds.
- Roasted in Italy by Gimoka since the 1980s.

Standard E.S.E. (Easy Serving Espresso) 44 mm paper pods for any ESE-compatible espresso machine or pod basket. They do not fit capsule machines or K-Cup® brewers.
